Delivered to US Air Force in November 1943 and after service also for US Navy and US Marine Corps it was rebuilt to Super 46C by LB Smith. It was then in service for a short period with Modern Air Transport as N 4092A before it was bought by Transair in May 1962.

It was delivered to TSA in Modern Air Transports colour scheme but without titles. It was flown from Trenton N.J. to Malmö. The aircraft was immediately leased by ONU for service in Congo until March 25 1966. It left Leopoldville and was flown to Las Palmas for storage in May 1966 and was during November the same year sold to Paraense, Brazil. The route of the delivery flight to Paraense was Las Palmas - Villa Cisneros - Dakar - Fortaleza - Belem. During service for Paraense the aircraft was registered PP-BUC and last notice is in June 1969. After this the aircraft is no longer on the Brasilian register.
