Delivered as new to US Army Air Force in September 1944. It made service for both North African Wing and India-China Wing in Karachi before it was sold to Government of India in 1946. 10 years later it was modified to a civilian version in Miami and the aircraft was bought by Transair in April 1957 and delivered to Bromma Airport April 7 1957. Already next morning it made its first flight to Palma de Mallorca with 54 pax for WingTours of Sweden.
Between October 1961 - June 1964 the aircraft was leased to the United Nations for operations in Congo. Next year it was sold to Torair and after this it was resold to Fairline. In spring 1968 it was sold on executive auction to SODEMAC in Congo and June 19 1968 it was rereg. to 9Q-CWN and later on again rereg. to 9T-PLK. During a flight in Congo in July 1970 the port engine failed and the aircraft made an emergency landing in Mbuji Mayi, Congo where it ran into a ditch beside the runway and was damaged beyond repair. No further info after that.
